AppsFlyer at MWC & GDC 2015
2015 Mobile World Congress
Eight members of the AppsFlyer team traveled to Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia, for the most prestigious and well-attended event (93,000 attendees this year!) in the mobile world, the Mobile World Congress. Industry leaders and influencers gathered to showcase emerging technologies and to discuss market trends.
In addition to the stimulating speaker sessions, companies send representatives had the ability to have a presence in the exhibition hall. The AppsFlyer booth was prominent among the hundreds of booths that dotted the floor. This was our office away from our office, as we met with hundreds of loyal clients and potential ones, especially following the announcement that Ad-X was being retired. Team members also met with partners about opportunities and ways to cooperate. Our booth was a non-stop, revolving door of people who represented all strata of the mobile space. It was quite a frenetic pace!
On the first evening, AppsFlyer also co-hosted one of the major networking events in conjunction with the Application Developers Alliance. The mix and mingle event gave everyone a chance to connect out of the convention space in a more laid back atmosphere. All attendees said it was a successful night and that they can’t wait for next year. We also co-sponsored a happy hour with ClicksMob on the second evening of MWC. Once again is was a great opportunity for mobile professionals to network.
All in all, MWC15 was a great event that generated many connections. See you at MWC16!
GDC 2015 in San Francisco
Making a strong presence at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, CA was an investment in AppsFlyer customers, the gaming community, and the AppsFlyer brand.
At the forefront of GDC 2015 was the battle of the virtual reality headsets while the halls were filled with mobile-first companies and game development tools. The AppsFlyer booth was centrally located for client meetings and between partners, which is indicative how we operated.
Being at GDC could not have come at a better time being able to meet with gaming clients from around the world and helping new ones make the transition as smooth possible from Ad-X. While part of the AppsFlyer team was at the Mobile World Congress the same week hosting parties, the US AppsFlyer office took GDC as an opportunity to sit-down with some of our most analytical gaming customers to help outline our 2015 mobile campaign measurement roadmap together.
The entire San Francisco Team was inspired by our GDC booth being surrounded with great networks such as Fiksu, Tapjoy, and SupersonicAds and between developer community plugin partners Marmalade and Unity. The conference saved our business development team weeks of meetings. It was amazing to interact with the numerous product teams of some of our 900+ integrated partners.
As always, we still made time for a fun week of after parties at hosts such as Chartboost, Heyzap, TrialPay, and even our friends at Zendesk.
