AppsFlyer Flight Plan — November Updates

Jon Burg Nov 04, 2015

November is going to be an exciting month for AppsFlyer customers around the world. Our industry-leading raw data reports are now more detailed and easier to use, and your cohort reports have gotten even better, with 60 and 90 day coverage. We have also added support for AdWords Re-engagement Attribution, and updated our latest Android SDK with purchase validation.

Below is a bit more information on each of these new, exciting updates.

  • Prepare Yourself… for Raw Data Reports 2.0!
Large blog post image-01Your new raw data reports have gotten even better. These reports make it easier than ever to compare and improve your performance across multiple networks, by translating each network’s unique labels (e.g. ad groups or ad sets) into a universal structure — so you can compare apples to apples across networks. But wait, there’s more! We have added three levels of granularity below the media source: campaign, ad set, and ad, so you can get to the insights you need even faster. Oh, and one more thing… we have now added a configurable field for Ad type, so you can analyze your media by format, display dimensions, and more. Make sure to set up your attribution links appropriately to make the most of these opportunities.

  • Bigger, Better Cohorts
Your cohort reports have gotten bigger and better with not only 1, 3, 5, 7, 14 and 30 day Cohortsreporting, but extended 60 and 90 day reporting periods as well. Cohort reports are a great way to really understand your performance by comparing a number of considerations (eg. sessions, revenues, in-app events) over time, broken down by media source, campaign, geo etc. You can learn more about how to use Cohort reports in this great blog post.

Please note: Cohort reports are updated daily. Therefore, whenever creating a cohort report, we recommend setting the end date one day back (e.g. a 60 day cohort should look back 61 days).

  • AdWords Re-Engagement
    AdWords
Retargeting and re-engagement ads allow marketers to reach users who have installed their app, but not used it in some time. When properly deployed, these solutions can be highly effective ways to increase app engagement. And with our new Google AdWords Re-Engagement Ads integration, attributing and optimizing your re-engagement ads performance has never been easier.

  • Updated Android SDK Brings Marshmallowy Goodness
The AppsFlyer Android SDK has taken a great leap forward. In addition to providing Android 6.0 AndroidMarshmallow support, the new SDK now supports in-app purchase validation. By validating your in-app purchase activity, marketers can gain more accurate insights into the direct revenues generated by each user, attribute these revenues to the right campaigns, and better identify fraud, to maximize your marketing ROI.

So, what do you think? We would love to hear your questions, comments and suggestions. Please feel free to contact your success manager to discuss how these updates can help your business.
