What is a Bot Signature?
A bot signature is a unique identifier that indicates that a particular action is illegitimate because it originates from a bot.
While there are a handful of common bot signatures, most fraud providers maintain their own bot signature blacklists. A bot signature can be anything from a particular user agent, to an invalid device model. However, as fraudsters have advanced, some have developed the ability to better mask their activity, and can only be blocked by a behavioral anomaly solution.« Back to Glossary Index
