什么是频繁更换设备号?

A device farm is a location wherein fraudsters repeat actions – such as clicks, registrations, installs and engagement – to create the illusion of legitimate activity, draining advertising budgets.

Device farms maintained for the purposes of ad fraud are illegal in much of the world. As mobile advertising budgets have grown, device farms dedicated to mobile fraud have grown increasingly common. Also known as phone farms or click farms, these are used not only for fraudulent clicks, install and mobile engagement, but also for fake social media followings, and inflated app store download counts, ratings and reviews.

Device farm

How This Works:

Savvy device farmers use a variety of tactics to hide their activity, including hiding behind fresh IP addresses, using a broad variety of devices, while either enabling 限制广告追踪 or hiding behind 设备 ID 重置作弊 (resetting their DeviceIDs with each install). When perpetrated at scale, this fraud is also known as 设备 ID 反复重置. Though often portrayed in the media as an Asian fraud type due to the often use of cheap labor force, device farms exist around the world and drain marketing budgets in every region.

How device farms work

Why AppsFlyer:

Protect360 creates and updates blacklists of Device IDs and IPs that consistently show irregular behavior of unknown devices, indicating potential device farm activity.
