What Are Auto Redirects:
An Auto Redirect is a case where a user is redirected to a web page resembling a known or intended page.
This page, loaded with hidden and visible ads, will be used to download malware to the user’s device or steal sensitive user data.
How it works:
Similar to the case of Auto Downloads, fraudsters will lure users to remain on the page long enough to present hidden or visible adds and trigger malicious program downloads without the user’s intent or knowledge.
The user’s device will then be used for future scams by either generating fake traffic (Impressions, clicks etc.) or to pull the user’s sensitive data to be later sold or manipulated by other fraudsters.
While it can’t protect users from entering malicious online locations, fake traffic generated by malware and bots will be blocked by Protect360, preventing it from reaching your campaigns.
