What is Spoofed Traffic?
Spoofed traffic is fraudulent or low quality traffic manipulated to disguise itself as another, high quality, traffic source. Often used by fraudsters to present a false presentation regarding the source’s content, demographic and geo mix and other parameters to affect its attractiveness.
How This Works:
By manipulating parameters in postback URL’s and event reporting, fraudsters replace the parameters meant to indicate the traffic source with other attractive media sources.
Why AppsFlyer:
AppsFlyer’s encrypted SDK, unlike open source SDKs, uses encrypted server messages, postbacks are much more difficult to fake and manipulate.
