What is a Bot Signature?
A bot signature is a unique identifier indicating that a particular action is illegitimate because it originated from a bot.
How This Works:
While there are a handful of common bot signatures, most fraud providers maintain their own bot signature blacklists. A bot signature can be anything from a particular user agent, to an invalid device model. However, as fraudsters have advanced, some have developed the ability to better mask their activity, and can only be blocked by a behavioral anomaly solution.
AppsFlyer’s unique scale allows us to measure and understand behavioral engagement patterns on multiple levels – such as by app, region, media source and publisher. Non-human behavioral patterns are identified in near real-time, and blocked at the source.
