Mobile Marketing Transparency
Transparency refers to the elements of a marketing campaign that are visible to the advertiser, like allowing marketers to gain insight into where the media purchased through agencies is running, what was actually paid, and how these campaigns are performing.
Why Is This Important:
Unfortunately, mobile advertising transparency is discussed under mobile fraud. Many ad networks consider their sub-publisher lists to be proprietary data and only share with advertisers an anonymized site ID rather than an actual sub-publisher. Some networks go so far as to show different anonymized site IDs for each campaign or advertiser. This semi-opaque approach allows fraudsters and criminals to hide behind a veil of anonymity.
