Asia is an extremely exciting place to be in for app developers and marketers. The sheer size of the region and the number of mobile connections is like no other.
On the one hand, Asia is considered a mobile first and even mobile only region where the mobile device plays a key role in daily activities – even more so than its role in Western society. On the other hand, a large part of Asia is still developing. This includes mega markets like India, China and Indonesia which are all in the midst of explosive growth that is projected to continue its upward trajectory in the coming years. As such, the opportunity to make a mark in the region is presenting itself for the takers.
However, it is vital to understand that the Asian mobile app market is very much different than what we are used to in the West – presenting a series of unique challenges. Without understanding these challenges and meeting them, success is quite simply impossible.
